Gonda: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Upper Primary School, Mokhalpur, in Jhanjhari development block of Gonda district.
Retired Indian Air Force Flight Lieutenant Shyam Sunder Tiwari, Mokhalpur resident Chakradhar Dwivedi and village head Anand Prakash Chaubey attended the celebrations as guests. Headmistress Sadhana Singh and the teaching staff welcomed the guests and coordinated the programme.
Students presented a range of cultural and patriotic performances during the celebrations. Through their presentations, they expressed their love for the country, highlighted the importance of national unity and paid tribute to the freedom fighters whose sacrifices secured India’s independence.
Anuja Tiwari, Sunita Singh, Aarti Singh, Rinki Pandey, Neha Soni and Seema Rawat were also present at the programme.

At the conclusion of the event, sweets were distributed among all the students. The school administration expressed its gratitude to village head Anand Prakash Chaubey for arranging the distribution of sweets.
The Independence Day celebrations concluded successfully in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, discipline and patriotism.
